What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's perfect and infallible word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, & showing His will for humanity. It serves as the ultimate authority for Christian life, as mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

God & The Trinity

There exists one God, manifested in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

Jesus

We recognize Jesus Christ as both fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified, and resurrected. Currently, He serves as our High Priest and Advocate, seated at the right hand of God the Father, as mentioned in Matthew 1:18 and Hebrews 12:2.

Salvation

We believe in the need for personal salvation and the forgiveness of sins achieved through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ. We recognize the need for God's grace and mercy for the world, as highlighted in Romans 3:23-24, Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:3, and 1 John 1:9.

Baptism

We believe water baptism is for individuals who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and wish to publicly align themselves with Him, as instructed in the Bible (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4). It's essential to understand that water baptism doesn't bring salvation; instead, it symbolizes the burial of the old self in Christ and the emergence into a new life.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, dedicated to glorifying Jesus Christ and guiding and empowering every believer for a life and service that aligns with God. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit did not cease with the Apostles and are still active and available to believers today. John 16:13-14 and 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

Christ's Return

We believe in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and we're anticipating His arrival. When he returns it will be accompanied by the bodily resurrection of believers both dead and alive. Matthew 24:29-31 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
